With children
Lake Macha and the beaches in Stare Splavy are the easiest half-day or full-day plan. Add a short walk, pedal boat or boat ride.
With a stroller
The promenade in Stare Splavy and calmer lakeside sections work well for 1 to 2 hours. After rain, skip sandy parts.
By bike
Doksy, Stare Splavy and the pine forests offer relaxed loops for 1 to 3 hours. Stronger cyclists can head toward Bezdez or Kokorin.
Swimming
Lake Macha is the closest choice. Main beaches are busier in season, so shorter swims often work better outside peak hours.
Castles and views
Bezdez is a strong climb with views, while Houska is a calmer half-day cultural stop. Both combine well with a car trip.
Rainy day
Choose a short cafe stop in Doksy, a drive through nearby villages or a slower day in the cabin. Check opening hours for longer trips.
